Chail Palace

Located on a hill top, this more than 100-year-old palace was built by Maharaja Rajinder Singh of erstwhile Patiala state of Punjab.

Kali Tibba temple

If you want to watch a sunset that looks magnificent and also have an amazing view of the mountain ranges then you must visit this temple in Chail.

Shiva Stone Temple

This is the best place if you want to see Shimla from Chail. Located on a hill top, the temple design is also unique.

Chail Cricket Ground

Chail has a cricket ground at an altitude of 2286 meters, one of the highest in the world. It was built by erstwhile Patiala state.

 Old bazaar

The old bazaar is another attaraction of Chail. You can wander in the local bazaar without bumping into a horde of tourists.

Baba Bhalku

There is a bust of Baba Bhalku in a park in front of the old bazaar. Baba Bhalku had helped Britishers in digging tunnels and laying tracks for Kalka-Shimla rail line.

Sadhupul

On way to Chail from Kandhaghat, there is Sadhupul, which is on the bank of rivulet Ashwani Khad. Sadhupul has many camping sites.

Hiking trails

In Chail, you can explore lovely hiking trails in the dense Deodar forests like the ones that start near the Chail Palace, Shiva stone temple trail and cricket stadium trail etc.

 wildlife sanctuary

 It is spread over an area of 16 square kilometres. The sanctuary is home to dense deodar and oak forests and various species of animals.
