The trek starts from the nearby Vashishth village which is hardly 10 minutes from the Manali town, if the traffic allows. There is also a second route that starts from Gulaba village, just around 20 kms from Manali on the Rohtang road.

Usually, snow remains at the top of the mountain till the second week of June. So, if you plan your trek around this time of the year, you will witness a white blanket on the mountain top and temperature dropping to many degrees below zero during night time.

Bhrigu lake remains frozen till the first few weeks of June. It’s all white and snowy with few frozen blue patches in between. And you can’t describe the feeling you get sitting by a snowy lake.
