Also spelled as Subathu and locally pronounced as Spatu, Sabathu is a cantonment town in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. It is at a distance of around 15 kms from Dharampur town, which is on the Kalka-Shimla highway.

Sabathu is the oldest cantonment town in the hills of Himachal Pradesh and also the first place where Britishers had first started living after defeating the Gorkha army.
