SISSU

1. Sissu is breathtakingly beautiful. Located at an altitude of 3120 meters on the bank of Chandra river , it's a paradise for travellers.

2. Sissu is just 40 kms from Manali. You can reach here in an hour, that is, if you don't get stuck in a traffic jam. So, basically it doesn’t take much to reach here.

3.  The drive from Manali to Sissu is just amazing. You witness the spectacular snow-capped mountains and high dense forests on your way. It's a sheer joy to drive here.

4. You will cross the Atal Tunnel on your way. An engineering marvel, it's the highest highway tunnel above 3,000 meters.

5. Sissu’s waterfall is majestic. Most people come here drawn by it. You can walk up to the waterfall in half hour.

You can spot Sissu's mega waterfall from miles away.

6. Sissu’s trees are stunningly beautiful. Sissu looks heavenly as it covers itself in the pale golden hues of falling leaves.

7. In Sissu, you can visit the monastery of Lord Ghepan, the presiding deity and the protector of the valley.

8. You can also visit the nearby historic Gondhla fort. This seven-storey fort was built in 1700 AD using stones and wooden beams, placed together with clay.

9. You can also go up to  nearby Tandi village, which is the sangam or confluence of Chandra and Bhaga rivers. 

10. It's a beautiful drive from Sissu to Gondhla to Tandi as you move in the shadow of lofty mountains and along a gushing Chandra river.
