CHAIL

Located on three hills and almost at an equal height of Shimla, the beautiful Chail has a royal connection. It was made a summer retreat by Patiala Maharaja Rajinder Singh at the end of the 19^th century. He got himself built a palace and cottages and each summer the royals would shift to their royal palace in Chail. Far away from the madding crowds and surrounded by beautiful dense deodar forests of Solan district, Chail is ideal for travelers seeking solitude in the hills.
